Looking for a fun, bookish night out? Grab some friends or fly solo and join us at The Book Club in Mission, Kansas for a sparkling, hands-on book bedazzling evening hosted by Kimberly. You will learn all the tips and tricks for turning a regular book cover into a glittering, gem covered treasure.

Please bring a book you would like to bedazzle, or pick one to purchase from our shelves if you want to treat yourself to something new. Kimberly will handle the rest, including tools, rhinestones, guidance, and lots of encouragement.

We’ll also have drinks and treats from The Book Club bakery available for purchase so you can sip and snack while you create.

FAQs

What is included with my ticket?

Your ticket includes full access to our rhinestone bar with tons of gem shapes, colors, and sizes, plus all tools needed: wax pens, tweezers, glue, trays, dot tools, and design guides.

Who can come to this workshop?

Everyone is welcome. Please note that the rhinestones are very small, so this craft is not recommended for young children. Older kids may attend with supervision if they can safely handle tiny pieces.

What do I need to bring?

Just bring the book you want to decorate! Hardcover books work especially well, but you can bring anything you love. Everything else will be provided.

How do I choose a book to bedazzle?

Look for books with bold titles, solid backgrounds, or simple artwork because they’re easier to embellish, but honestly anything you love will work. If you’re unsure, you can buy a book from us when you arrive and create something special from scratch.

How do the rhinestones stay on the cover?

We use a strong, clear craft glue that dries beautifully and does not warp your book. You’ll place tiny dots of glue where you want gems, then set each rhinestone in place using a wax pencil or tweezers. It’s slow, calming, and extremely satisfying.

Where is the workshop held?

At The Book Club in Mission, Kansas, our cozy boozy bookstore cafe on Johnson Drive.
