Host Your Private Event at The Book Club
Looking for a cozy, character-filled space for your next gathering? Whether you’re planning a birthday party, a bridal shower, a small team retreat, a book launch, or an intimate celebration, The Book Club offers a beautiful, book-lined backdrop for any special occasion. Our space is warm and inviting and colorful, perfect for creating the kind of gathering people will actually want to stay and talk at.
We designed our rental program to be different from the typical event space. Because we believe community matters, we keep our pricing accessible and flexible. If you’re hosting after we close, it’s intentionally priced far below the cost of traditional venues so that more people can bring their ideas and celebrations to life.
If you’d like to close the café early to have the space to yourself before 7 pm, we make that possible too, but at a standard rental rate that helps us cover lost business. Either way, you get a beautiful space, a dedicated team, and an easy, welcoming experience.

| Setup Before Closing | If you need to begin setting up before we officially close at 7 PM, you’re welcome to start up to 30 minutes early. If we are still open to the public during that time and you have not booked the café for early closure, we will not ask current guests to move or change their experience, and we ask that you do not ask them to move either. |
| Staffing & Services |
For groups of 10 or fewer, one staff member: Included Coffee service available at menu pricing. Please be aware that tipping is not included in your discounted rental rates. Please treat our baristas well to thank them for their time. |
| Outside Food | Allowed at private events for no additional charge. Please bring disposable serveware or take your items with you at the end. |
| Cleaning Fee | We do not charge a cleaning fee as long as the space is left in good condition. This means:
• All furniture and seating returned to its original location If the space is not returned to a clean and orderly condition, a $50 cleaning fee may be applied. Our goal is always to communicate openly before that happens. If there are concerns about the state of the space at the end of your event, our staff will talk with you about what needs to be addressed and give you the opportunity to fix it before you leave. The fee is only charged if the space still requires significant additional cleaning or reset after your departure. |

Booking, Payment & Cancellations

The full rental fee is required at the time of booking in order to secure your date. After you submit your event request, we will review it and, if approved, send you an invoice. Your reservation is confirmed only once that invoice has been paid in full. Until payment is received, the date remains available to other parties. We do not hold dates without payment.

House Rules
|
No glitter or confetti unless pre-approved. No tape that damages paint. Birthday candles okay, other candles must be in proper candle containers to be lit. You leave with what you brought. We handle standard cleaning. |
