Amber's Book Club: Wordslut

Have you ever wondered why so many insults are aimed at degrading women? Have you ever questioned the history behind words like bitch, slut, and whore? What about hussy?

In Amanda Montell's amazing nonfiction she gives us answers to all those questions and more. She dismantles the deeply rooted patriarchy that shows up in our daily language, the ways we can change it, and how to reclaim the insults meant to belittle those who identify as female.
